Cape Deacon er eit isdekt nes som utgjer søraustenden av Kemp Peninsula, på austkysten av Palmer Land. Det vart truleg oppdaga av medlemmar frå U.S. Antarctic Service som fotograferte ein del av Kemp Peninsula medan denne kysten vart utforska frå lufta i desember 1940. I 1947 vart neset fotografert frå lufta av medlemmar frå Ronne antarktiske forskingsekspedisjon, medan Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey kartla det frå bakken. Det vart namngjeve av UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee etter George E.R. Deacon (1906–84), ein engelsk oseanograf og medlem av Discovery Investigations, 1927–39, og sidan direktør i National Institute of Oceanography, 1949–71,
