So after rewatching Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, I have to say that I like all types of bending water, earth, fire, and air. And now after rewatching Korra mostly for its sub-bending. I find it even more interesting.
Just imagine the Avatar being the world's first most extremely overkill and overly powerful avatar if he or she master all the elements and sub-bendings.
Water: Healing, Spirtual Calming, soul Stealing (the Unalaq spirutual training), bloodbending, plantbending, and cloud bending or in this case bending water in the form of "gas".
Earth: Earthbending, metalbending, sandbending, lavabending, and seismic sense. Not sure what else I can expand on if you were creative to invent a new method of Earthbending. Oh yeah being able to extend your siesmic sense into a lie detector and please correct me if I'm wrong if siesmic sense is not part of being able to tell if one is lying?
Fire: Not so much I can list here. Lightning (and that is all I can get) and I am unsure of what was that going on in season two after the dark spirit captured Korra and that old lady used some kind of spiritual firebending ability on her to see if she was okay or not. And I also forgot to mention sparky spark boom man/woman.
Air: Hang-glider, ability to fly (entering the void), and spiritual projection like what Ginora can do.
And lastly Energy Bending not much information on this forgotten bending.
Just imagine if we ever get an Avatar series following after Korra, that person will become the most powerful avatar if we skip all the training and focus on the series with saving the world and someone powerful than Amon would have to be able to top him off.
I think he or she would definitely make a badass avatar.
