Abomey er ein by sør i Benin i Vest-Afrika, med om lag 128 000 innbyggjarar[1]. Byen var hovudstad i det tidlegare kongedømmet Dahomey, som vart etablert rundt 1625 og opphøyrde då det var innlemma i Fransk Vest-Afrika i 1894. Kongepalassa i Abomey er ei gruppa av bygningar av jord og leira, og vart bygde av Fon-folket frå om lag 1650 til 1880. Palassa er rekna som nokre av dei fremste kulturminna i Vest-Afrika. Kongepalasset og kongegravene står i dag på UNESCO si verdsarvlista over verneverdige kulturminne.
