Manara (מְנָרָה) er ein kibbutz i Øvre Galilea nord i Israel, like ved grensa til Libanon og oppom Huladalen. Han høyrer til Øvre Galilea regionale kommune.
Historie |
Kibbutzen vart grunnlagd i 1943 av medlemmar frå ungdomsgruppa HaNoar HaOved VeHaLomed og andre unge immigrantar frå Tyskland og Polen. På eit tidspunkt fekk kibbutzen namnet Ramim (Mal:Lang-he) i eit forsøk på å erstatte det arabiske namnet med eit hebraisk. Men det nye namnet fekk ikkje fotfeste hos dei lokale innbyggjarane.
