Lane Plateau er ei flatt, isdekt platå med ei høgd på 3000 m mellom Mount Waterman, Mount Cartwright og Mount Bronk sentralt i Hughes Range i Dronning Maudfjella. Platået går 14 km frå nord til sør og er 4 km breitt. Det vart oppdaga og fotografert av Richard E. Byrd på flyturen hans 18. november 1929 og kartlagt av A.P. Crary i 1957-58. Det vart kartlagt av United States Geological Survey (USGS) frå landmålingar, 1962–63 og fotografi tekne av U.S. Navy 1958-63. Platået er kalla opp etter etter Neal Lane, direktør i National Science Foundation frå 1993 til 1998. Under han fekk National Science Foundation (NSF) godkjenning hos kongressen til å bygge om Sørpolstasjonen til eit forskingsanlegg av høg klasse, sett til å opne tidleg i 2000-åra.
