Chiavari med grannekommunen Lavagna i det fjerne
Chiavari er ein by og ein kommune i provinsen Genova i Liguria-regionen i Italia. Kommunen har i kring 28 000 ibuarar og eit areal på 12,1 km². Kystbyen Chiavari ligg ved Liguriahavet, mellom kommunane Rapallo i vest og Lavagna i aust. Byen ligg ved munninga av elva Entella, på ei slette omkransa av åsar.
Chiavari er eit turistsenter på den italienske rivieraen og ein regional marknadsplass for jordbruksvarer. Turismen dreg nytte av den reine, blå sjøen og det historiske bysenteret med sine rikmannshus i genovesisk stil. Framstelling av stolar, blondar og silke, samt skifer er også viktige næringsgreiner.
