Mantell Screes (Antarktis)

Mantell Screes er ei utstikkar med ei høgd opp mot kring 1500 m med steinurer på kvar side, nordvest for Arkell Cirque på nordsida av Read Mountains i Shackletonkjeda. Han vart fotografert frå lufta av U.S. Navy i 1967, og kartlagd av British Antarctic Survey (BAS), 1968-71. I samband med at stader i området vart namngjevne etter geologar, vart det namngjeve av United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) i 1971 etter Gideon A. Mantell (1790–1852), engelsk kirurg og geolog som er kjend for å ha oppdaga iguanodon og tre andre fossile reptil.
