Johann Gottfried Galle (9. juni 1812–10. juli 1910) var ein tysk astronom. Den 23. september 1846 oppdaga han Neptun etter utrekningar av U.J.J. Leverrier. Han oppdaga tre kometar og gav i 1894 ut eit register over alle utrekna kometbanar. Han arbeidde òg med meteorar og synte korleis observasjonar av jordnære asteroidar kan nyttast til utrekning av solparallaksen.
Galle var direktør for observatoriet i Breslau frå 1851 til 1897.
