ibid. er ei forkorting for det latinske ordet ibīdem, «på same stad»). Omgrepet blir brukt i referansar, fot- eller sluttnotar for å vise at informasjon i teksten er henta frå det førre verket det er referert til. Om ein vil vise til ei referert kjelde eller eit sitat i teksten, bruker ein ordet (ibid. + sidetal).[1]
I juridiske tekstar nytter ein ofte ordet «idem», 'noko som er nemnt tidlegare'; 'det samme', forkorta «Id.».
For å finne Ibid.-kjelda, må ein sjå på den siste referansen før ibid.
I oppgåveskriving vil det ofte vere betre å gjenta referansen enn å bruke ibid.[2]
