Det nordrussiske låglandet ligg heilt nord i den europeiske delen av Russland og er ein del av Den austeuropeiske sletta.
Låglandet, som ligg på vest- og austsida av Timanhøgdene, strekkjer seg ut langs elvane Nordre Dvina, Onega og Mezen i vest og Petsjora i aust. I nord grensar det til Barentshavet. I midten deler Timanhøgdene, som går i nordvest-søraustleg retning, det nordrussiske låglandet i to delar. I nordaust grensar låglandet mot Paj-Khoj-fjella, i aust mot Uralfjella og i sør mot Dei nordrussiske høgdene. I vest går det over Onega- og Ladogasjøen og til Finskebukta.
Landskapet i det særs tynt folkesette nordrussiske låglandet er prega av taiga og tundra, så vel som av elvane og dei store sjøane på slettene. Dei største byene er Arkhangelsk og Severodvinsk.
