Flat Islands eller Flatøyholmane er ei rekkje øyar som strekkjer seg 2,8 km frå nordaust til sørvest og som ligg kring 3 km nordvest for Mawson Station og 3 km sørvest for Welch Island i den austlege delen av Holmevika. Flatøyholmane vart kartlagde av norske kartografar frå flyfoto teken under Lars Christensen-ekspedisjonen (1936-1937) og namnet Flatøy vart nytta om det dei trudde var ei enkel øy sør i gruppa. Øya nordmennene kalla Flatøy var i røynda tre øyar. Etter Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) kartla området vart namnet endra av Australian Antarctic Names and Medals Committee (ANCA) i 1958 som gav heile gruppa namnet Flat Islands.[1]
