Read this series around 2005, not sure when it was released. It was a trilogy, but the first two books took place simultaneously and the third was where their two storylines met.



I remember in one of the first two books there was a race of people with various vibrant colors of hair, and the capitol was a massive castle that had a glass canopy over it so that dragons could not get in, and dragons were described as landing on the glass.



Just looking for it to use as inspiration for a D&D setting, if anyone knows the name of the series or an individual book that'd be awesome!
