Fränkische Saale er ei elv i Bayern i Tyskland, og ei av sideelvane til Main frå høgre med ei lengd på 136 km. Ho må ikkje forveklsast med Saale i Sachsen, som er ei sideelv til Elbe.
Fränkische Saale renn gjennom Bad Königshofen, Bad Neustadt, Bad Kissingen, Hammelburg og munnar ut i Main i Gemünden am Main. Ho har sitt utspring i fjella Rhön i landkreis Rhön-Grabfeld. To stader vert hevda som kjelda til Saale. Den første er Alsleben (Fränkische Saale Quelle) og den andre er mellom Sternberg og Obereßfeld ( Saale Quelle). Kjelda aust for Alsleben er ei stor kjelde, medan ei tredje mogeleg kjelder er Brennhausen.
