«Houses of the Holy» er ein song av det engelske rockebandet Led Zeppelin frå albumet Physical Graffiti i 1975. Songen er ein rockesong i middeltempo med tung bass og eit særeige gitarriff av Jimmy Page. Ein kan høyra knirkinga frå trommepedalen til John Bonham gjennom heile songen.
Tekstmessig er songen ein hyllest til Led Zeppelin-konsertane, der «Houses of the Holy» viser til spelestadane der bandet spelte. Trass i dette har songen aldri vorte spela på konsertar av bandet..[1]Robert Plant spela songen med Band of Joy under soloturneen sin i 2010.[2]
Sjølv om songen heiter «Houses of the Holy», finst ikkje denne på albumet Houses of the Holy. Han var opphavleg meint for dette albumet, men fjerna då bandet fann ut at han ikkje passa inn.[1]
Plateprodusent Rick Rubin har sagt om songen: «Det er ein funk-jam med ein verkeleg interessant jazz-aktig akkord. Det er ein av dei meir kjenslemessige songane deira. Og det er den einaste Led Zeppelin-songen der dei brukar det som høyrest ut som ei kubjølle.»[3]
Songen vart gjeven ut på singel i Italia der han nådde 27. plass.[4]
